SIAMS Spotlight 2 – How does the school’s culture encourage justice and courageous advocacy? 2024/25
The series of ‘SIAMS Spotlight’ training sessions considers key aspects of SIAMS, each with a different area of focus matched to the Inspection Questions. They are aimed at supporting all schools on their ongoing school improvement journey.
Spotlight Session 2 will focus on SIAMS Inspection Question 5 – ‘How does the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision create an active culture of justice and responsibility?’
- Why encourage courageous advocacy in schools?
- How can schools empower pupils to understand injustice and to develop as active agents of change?
- How can schools thread courageous advocacy into the curriculum?
- How can leaders use frameworks for developing pupil participation?
- How can leaders evaluate the impact of courageous advocacy?
Schools are encouraged to send more than one attendee to maximise discussion and impact.
