RE Governors in Church of England schools in the Diocese of Guildford, both primary and secondary.

This briefing will be a pre-recorded session. Released after spring half term 2023

This training will:

• Introduce both the 2023 Revised Surrey Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education and the Guildford Diocesan Guidelines for Religious Education
• Give governors an overview of how the syllabus has been created and how units of work fit together to create a pathway through RE from EYFS to Key Stage 4
• Show governors how the new materials enable their school to meet the Church of England Statement of Entitlement for Religious Education in Church Schools.
• Give governors suggestions as to their role in the implementation process.
